In the year 1982, Benno Premsela designed a floor lamp that today is one of the best-known design classics in Dutch lighting. A perfect graphic composition of a few thin lines and a soft linen cube. The timeless character is a valuable addition to any interior. The design includes many aspects; minimalism, architecture, balance and functionality.
Premsela was inspired by the Japanese Tatami mat, with which spaces of 300 cm by 300 cm are arranged and separated with screens of rice paper that allow diffuse light to pass through.
The Lotek consists of a 22,5 cm by 22,5 cm module with a height of 26, 49, 71 or 94 cm. The metal legs are supplied in every height and are easy to adjust. The floor lamp is easy to move thanks to its lightweight. Lotek XS and Lotek XL are a further development of the original, with all parts being made exactly 33.3% smaller or 33.3% larger.
