SUSTAINABILITY NOTICE!
Genuine chestnut is cultivated in optimal forestry using so-called "pollarded plantations." This means that the tree's branches are harvested while the tree itself continues to live. In this way, the trunk remains intact, and no negative effects such as greenhouse gas emissions from the soil occur during cultivation.

Many garden furniture pieces today are made from tropical wood. With genuine chestnut, you can be confident that you are choosing a sustainable and responsible product.

THE AGING OF THE WOOD
Chestnut wood is a sustainable and natural alternative to tropical hardwoods.
Over time, it develops a beautiful silver-grey patina – completely without treatment. The process usually takes up to 2 years and happens faster the more the furniture is exposed to sun, rain and wind.

Want to slow down the ageing? Simply fold the furniture during rainy weather, oil it once a year, and store it indoors during autumn and winter.
But letting nature take its course is just as good a choice – giving you the sought-after silver-grey look with no effort at all.

The end result is always even, elegant, and an environmentally friendly choice.
For those who prefer to keep the wood’s original colour, it can also be lacquered – though this requires some maintenance every 2–3 years
